OrangeJackass would like to publicize a useful website, and shed some light on a possible scam product. The useful site is Ripoff Report and the possible scam is called The Craigslist Blackhat System.
A spammy twitter account, @ruthbizopp, showed up in our spam filter. Since we just learned of a really cool marketing idea for Craigslist (while reading the WealthyAffiliate forums, no less!), the spam headline caught our eye.
Rather than click on the spam email link, we hopped on over to Twitter.com and checked out the account. Sure enough, the same product was being promoted in the tweet stream. So we had a look-see:
It’s a typical sales pitch, but the author does tell you to proceed at your own risk. The word “blackhat”, for the uninitiated, means that the techniques used are not condoned by the Craigslist website.
The claim is that, with this system, you can get away with cheating Craigslist and make a pile of money posting hundreds of ads.
By checking Google for “craigslist blackhat system”, we discovered that, over a year ago, someone registered a complaint at Ripoff Report.com.
What is disturbing is that we can’t find any other complaints on the site.
(They were upgrading their search engine when we checked today.)

Well, still, the product is not for ethical marketers like you and us
Leave that mess alone and learn how to make an honest dollar on the Internet.
